God's Grace for Hymns Illustrated in the Year 2022

It's Wednesday, December 28, 2022 and we're smack dab between Christmas and New Year's Day. 

Some people might consider this "dead time" because it's hard to be productive during this time of year but to me it's a precious, needful time of reflection and anticipation. 

When we embrace our inner John Newtons and acknowledge that it's "grace that brought us safe thus far and grace will lead us home," we help prepare our hearts to surrender the New Year to the Lord with gratitude and joyful anticipation no matter what the future may hold.

We may also find ourselves even more motivated than ever to stay the course!

With this in mind, I'd like to publicly thank the Lord and each Hymns Illustrated email subscriber and member for the following highlights of 2022.

Hymns Illustrated began our first ever membership portal in April and launched Hymns Illustrated for Kids in June.

God's grace has abundantly shown itself in these other ways, too:

• Hymns Illustrated's free hymn studies have received over 1,080 downloads!
• We've taken a closer look at 12 different hymns -- one for each month of 2022. (See the list below.)
• The Hymns Illustrated podcast has released 26 episodes.
• Our Hymn Study Resource & Devotional Reflection Library for members only includes:
  • 11 Hymn Study Devotional Guides (over 100 pages of hymn study material)
  • 7 Hymn Studies for Kids (including over 56 pages of individual stanza studies)
  • 43 hymn study activity pages for children 
  • 13 word searches for adults
  • 22 coloring pages for adults
  • over 33 greeting card designs and
  • 12 prints to place around the home or share with friends and family.
• And last but absolutely not least, our small but mighty number of members have nearly covered the monthly costs of design tools and having an online presence and membership website. Thank you to all members from the bottom of my heart!

God has shown Himself kind and faithful in 2022 and we can confidently look forward to His plan unfolding in the year 2023! (See our upcoming Hymn of the Month list here.)
