Jesus Saves!

Did you, like me, watch Charlie Kirk’s memorial service on Sunday afternoon, completely riveted?

The gospel was clearly proclaimed to millions—and that alone gives God’s people reason to rejoice.

While some have described this moment in history as a political movement (understandably, since Charlie was both a political figure and a Christian), revival is happening, too. 

We are witnessing people professing faith in Jesus, opening their Bibles, and stepping into church for the first time—or returning after years away.

My prayer is that hearts will continue to turn to Christ, believing the true gospel and living for Him wholeheartedly.

Last week, fittingly, we featured the hymn Revive Us Again and its amazing background.

This week, also fittingly, I invite you to reflect on the hymn Jesus Saves—an old-fashioned hymn that remains just as relevant today.

Its writer, Priscilla Owens, usually composed songs for children, but when asked to craft a missionary hymn for all ages, she rose to the occasion—and left us with a timeless declaration of the gospel.
