When I was a young girl, the swing set brought me more happiness than you probably care to know. I felt like I was on top of the world and I'm sure many bugs flew into my mouth as I couldn't help but smile huge smiles and sing at the top of my lungs.
Knowing Jesus is better. Much better.
Although I found this hymn quote in my hymnal, it is originally from the Scottish Psalter. And though it is from the Psalter, it is actually from a paraphrase of Habakkuk 3:17-18.
The last two stanzas are as follows:
"He to my tardy feet shall lend the swiftness of the roe; till, raised on high, I safely dwell beyond the reach of woe. God is the treasure of my soul, the source of lasting joy; a joy which want shall not impair, nor death itself destroy."
